The Dufton & Doveton Families Found in the Americas
The shear size of the Yorkshire database made it difficult to find American individuals when doing the American family trees. To solve this problem I split out all the American families into a separate database exclusively for Canadian, United States and South American families.
At the current time I have 1074 names that can be traced back the their U.K. roots. At some stage I will add them to the website in the meantime, I have some 388 names that are individual families or small family groups that I have not been able to link back to the U.K.. These are mainly individuals born after the 1930 census and therefore have little impact on the history of the older families that can be traced back to the U.K.
